My wife and I have been trying to recover from trauma, disability and my newly diagnosed neurodivergence. Oh, and we were trying to see if we could make some money from a Youtube channel. We had just started getting into a groove with the channel after 4 years of trying when the landlord informed us that, due to circumstances beyond his control, he would have to sell the place we are living in. Crap. Did you hear the thud of the other boot? This is a recurring pattern with this whole content creator thing. Once we get going, life throws us a curve ball. I’ve spent 35 years in the film/TV business. I had to take some years off after being widowed, so I could raise my child. Now, I’m too old (55+) and nobody wants to hire the geezer. Wow. I was not ready for that. I think, if I can pull it off, I’ll try something else. I have lost my love of being behind the camera or in the edit suite. Time for a new chapter. I’m still a happy, goofy, loving, silly, beatnik halfling ranger. That will never change.
