It's really hard to use other DEs after Gnome. Besides, it's the only DE with proper touchpad support instead of just dragging a cursor across the screen.
No unnecessary buttons: getting to the main attraction requires the perfect three-finger swipe. It's a good thing they aren't in the underwear business. Or maybe it's actually a pity.
The downside, as usual, is Flatpak, which I think is absolute shit. But hey, at least it's not Snap, so thank God for that.
