What we have been witnessing, especially since the 2008 global financial crisis, is an #escalation from #oppression to #hegemony. Once an oppression evolves and further #degenerates into hegemony, #dissent, liberation, and solidarity become all the more difficult because the oppressed has become an accomplice of the oppressor, part-time or full-time, often the latter, stopping critical questioning and #systems thinking entirely and forgetting historical provenance of the contemporary hegemonies.
