+1's for Posts

A +1 feature for posts would be great. Currently there's only a comment section but readers may not always want to comment and just want to show they like a post. Another name for them rather than "like" or "+1" I think would be better though. Medium.com uses a like system but calls them "claps" and the icon for it is clapping hands. Maybe for Inkwell we can call them something like "inks" and have an icon of an ink pen or even the current pen tip logo. The chosen icon part is up to you lol, but I just read a post here and realized I had no way to show appreciation for it.

Inks — Community Discovery Signal Introducing inks — a new way to signal "more people should read this." Click the ink drop icon on any entry to ink it. Unlike stamps (which express how something made you feel), inks are a discovery signal that helps surface great writing through human curation. What's new: Ink button on all feed cards, explore cards, and entry detail pages — one ink per reader per entry, toggle on/off Trending This Week — a new section at the top of Explore showing the most-inked entries from the last 7 days "Most Inked" sort on Explore — find community favorites alongside the default "Newest" view Ink notifications — authors get notified when someone inks their entry Ink counts visible everywhere — see how many readers endorsed each entry Authors see their own ink counts but can't ink their own entries Free for all users Inks complement stamps — stamps say "how this made me feel," inks say "more people should read this." @eve have you noticed the stamp feature? I need to do some work on the functionality/design, but that was my original thought. However, having a +1 or upvote like capability would help reward posts and get them in front of more people. Let me do some digging!

Yes I have seen stamps on posts I've read before but I didn't see a stamp button or any other kind of button on the post I read that brought me to requesting the +1 icons. It was actually your post I read and realized there was no buttons on it. I went back to your post (to make sure I didn't just overlook the stamp feature) but I realize I have to click the title on your post to open it, then it shows me the stamp and all the other buttons.

So it appears if a user enables the Full Post display, readers won't have a stamp or any other buttons to click.
