I should write more
It's certainly not for a lack of locations to write to, that's for sure! Over the years I've had multiple blogs - still a word that I don't really like, but one that we've just kind of come to live with - from self hosted stuff using software that I don't even remember the name of any longer, to my emacs orgmode generated static site that has become my favorite.
Heck I've even got paid accounts on some other blogging platforms. I'd say that there are days I feel like Jack Baty, but at least Jack actually posts to his sites. 🤣 I think most of it is just the friction and inertia that prevents me from getting thoughts down on the screen. Probably the closest that I've ever come to blogging or journaling regularly was my eleventy site, most likely because I could use my mobile writing app of choice (Zettle Notes) and push to a git repo.
I think that's probably the “dream”, maybe, but I don't really know. Something like, oh, PageCord (one of the mentioned paid sites I've got) is pretty frictionless - just email in to post. Which is nice, but there are times when I may want to post images (very rare) and I try to add alt descriptions, not sure that's possible from the email route in that case.
Will I be a prolific poster. No. Will I write for an audience? Sure, myself. Ha!
