"I've been waking up every night. Like I think about time. Like how much has past and how much I got left. And what the fuck I'm going to do with it." -Lieutenant Dane Dumars, The Rip (2026).

I have The Rip (2026) on right now as a second screening. I enjoy this movie because it is an old skool cop movie with some great twists. The only big flaw of the film is that they hired Scott Adkins and did not let him do Scott Adkins style ass kicking.

Tonight's movie was Sphere (1998). I remember seeing this movie in the theaters after reading the book. I can't remember how well the movie adheres to the book. I have since seen this movie multiple times and it hasn't improved with multiple viewings, nor is it a great movie because it fails to marry the sci-fi elements with the horror elements. The A-list cast is great. The score by Elliot Goldenthal is memorable. I am strangely entertained by this movie, but I can see how it would not be most people's cup of tea.

Rated 4 out of 10.

Streamed on YouTube.

I'm so pleased at my progress with a new short story. I even think I know how it will end, and I rarely know that until I get there. Originally, I called it "Blood God," but I've decided "The Return Visit" works better.

To understand ignorance of the , you have to learn to appreciate kind of humor comedy. People are deeply in love with Reality TV "The Apprentice" USA. love, of their friends and neighbors. People worship television, people think Trump is great amusement!

Punisher.

The trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day was just released.

I’m interested to see how this movie is going to be like as the first of the Sony Spider-Man movies not to be directed by Jon Watts.

This time at the helm is Destin Daniel Cretton who directed Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. A movie that I enjoyed quite a bit.

What is the correct watch order? I see that there are specials but this is quite confusing because sites tell me to watch the main season(2019) but the specials go back to (2015) what the best version?

Are these specials the same as the 2019 season?
Should i watch the 2019 first? Or the specials?

"The White Lotus" season 4 has an absolutely stacked cast. The latest actors to be announced are Kumail Nanjiani and Max Greenfield, joining Helena Bonham-Carter, Steve Coogan, Vincent Cassel and Sandra Bernhard for scheming and shenanigans in St. Tropez. Here's a full list of everyone who's been cast so far, courtesy of @THR.

Dune: Part 3.

“Experience the epic conclusion of the Dune trilogy.”

This movie is based on Dune Messiah, the second book in the Dune series. The first two movies were based on the first book.

I wonder if they will be making movies based on the later books in the series which get rather insane. If not, I’m good with them stopping here, it’s a natural place for things to stop — those who have read the Dune series know why.

Remember when Huey Lewis was in the movie Sphere (1998)?

"I never mentioned a plane crash."

Monarch: Legacy of Monsters S02E03 "Secrets"

This episode was better than the previous one, I liked the focus on the characters. The past storyline is much more interesting and engaging than the present storyline. I am more invested in the love triangle of Keiko, Lee and Bill in the past than any of the relationships in the present.

The only thing I like about the present storyline is Tim and May scheming about what to do with Apex. The Tim character (Joe Tippett) is my favorite of the present -- his character has had the most growth and change of all the characters. Cate (Anna Sawai) continues to be the weakest of the present characters -- at this point she is reminding me of Kwan Ha of the Halo series.

I really like the design of Titan X and its little buddies. I am hoping they show more of Titan X and what it's doing.

A new UCLA study shows that films with 41-50% BIPOC casts perform best at the U.S. box office. "The diversity range closely mirrors the 45.2% BIPOC share of the U.S. population, suggesting that films reflecting demographic reality resonate with audiences," writes @Variety's Arushi Jacob. The study also highlighted the need for more women-centered stories, as the number of films with female leads dropped sharply after a historic high in 2024.

It's a record-breaking Oscar loss for songwriter Diane Warren, who, with her song “Dear Me" losing to "KPop Demon Hunters" "Golden," became the person with the most Academy Award nominations and zero wins.  It was the ninth consecutive loss for Warren, who has been nominated 17 times. “Well at least I’m consistent! And I set a new record tonite!! But U know me, I will be back if you’ll have me!!!” she wrote on Facebook.
