Il Tempo: La Russa: "Qualità nostre laureate è ottima, bisogna aumentare i numeri"
(Adnkronos) - “Ho ascoltato il grido di dolore relativo ai numeri”, ancora bassi sia rispetto al corrispettivo italiano maschile che alla media europea, delle laureate in materie Stem. “È vero, bisogna incrementare il numero, ma quanto a qualità siamo a posto. Secondo me, le donne scienziate sono ormai anche più brave degli uomini, perché si impegnano di più, sono più eclettiche, sanno cogliere non soltanto l'essenza della loro professione, ma anche l'umanità, che non si discosta mai dalla capacità di fare bene il proprio lavoro”. Così il presidente del Senato, Ignazio La Russa, intervenendo a Roma durante l'inaugurazione della mostra fotografica “Una vita da scienziata – I volti del progetto #100esperte” di Fondazione Bracco, collocata nel prestigioso Corridoio dei Busti del Senato.
“Quindi grazie davvero, per quello che fate, per quello che siete, per quello che rappresentate e grazie per avere dato al Senato l'opportunità di poterlo sottolineare e ribadire - aggiunge - Conosco bene la dottoressa Diana Bracco e sono molto orgoglioso di poter ospitare un lavoro che, in qualche modo, è frutto della sua lungimiranza”.
Il presidente del Senato ha voluto infine ringraziare chi “questa mostra l'ha realizzata, Il fotografo, ma soprattutto la ‘materia prima', le scienziate. Senza di loro non ci sarebbero state le fotografie e non ci sarebbe stata la mostra”.

(Adnkronos) - “I’ve heard the cry of pain regarding the numbers,” still low both compared to the equivalent Italian male figures and the European average, of female graduates in STEM subjects. “It’s true, we need to increase the number, but as for quality, we’re fine. I believe that women scientists are now even better than men, because they work harder, are more eclectic, and know not only the essence of their profession but also the humanity, which is never detached from the ability to do their job well.” Thus stated the President of the Senate, Ignazio La Russa, speaking in Rome during the inauguration of the photographic exhibition “A Life as a Scientist – The Faces of the #100Esperte Project” by Fondazione Bracco, located in the prestigious Corridor of the Busts of the Senate.
“So thank you truly, for what you do, for what you are, for what you represent, and thank you for giving the Senate the opportunity to highlight and reiterate it - he added. “I know the doctor Diana Bracco well and I am very proud to host a work that, in some way, is the result of her foresight.”
The President of the Senate finally wanted to thank those “who created this exhibition, the photographer, but above all the ‘raw material,’ the scientists. Without them there would have been no photographs and there would have been no exhibition.”

(Adnkronos) - "Secondo me, le donne scienziate sono ormai anche più brave degli uomini, perché si impegnano di più, sono più eclettiche, sanno cogliere non soltanto l'essenza della loro professione, ma anche l'umanità, che non si discosta mai dalla capacità di fare bene il proprio lavoro". Lo ha detto il presidente del Senato, Ignazio La Russa, in occasione dell'inaugurazione della mostra fotografica "Una vita da scienziata – I volti del progetto #100esperte" di Fondazione Bracco. La mostra, realizzata con gli scatti di Gerald Bruneau, fa parte di "100 donne contro gli stereotipi", un progetto avviato nel 2016 con l'obiettivo di combattere discriminazioni e stereotipi di genere e dare voce alle donne in settori strategici quali la scienza, l'economia, la politica internazionale e le istituzioni culturali.

He said this was the opinion of the President of the Senate, Ignazio La Russa, at the inauguration of the photographic exhibition "A Life as a Scientist – The Faces of the #100esperte Project" by the Bracco Foundation. The exhibition, featuring photographs by Gerald Bruneau, is part of “100 Women Against Stereotypes,” a project launched in 2016 with the aim of combating gender discrimination and stereotypes and giving voice to women in strategic sectors such as science, economics, international politics, and cultural institutions.
