Era scomparso lo scorso agosto a Ibiza Thomas Grumer, 42enne altoatesino, di cui sembravano essersi perse le tracce. I suoi resti sono stati ritrovati dopo oltre nove mesi dalla scomparsa. L’identità è stata confermata dal test del Dna, ma restano ancora da capire le cause del decesso.
L’uomo, originario di Bolzano, era manager nel settore della ristorazione e si era trasferito sull’isola spagnola nell’aprile del 2025 per un impiego in un albergo. L’allarme era stato lanciato lo scorso agosto da amici e parenti, dopo che da troppo tempo non riuscivano a mettersi in contatto con lui.
Tutte le ricerche condotte subito dopo la scomparsa non avevano portato a nulla: solo lo scorso settembre era stato trovato il suo motorino vicino al mare a Cala Llonga, mentre verso metà febbraio erano stati individuati sul fondale marino dei resti umani. Le autorità non hanno spiegato quali siano le cause del decesso e nessuna ipotesi viene esclusa.

Thomas Grumer, a 42-year-old from the South Tyrol, disappeared last August in Ibiza, and his whereabouts were lost. His remains were found after more than nine months of his disappearance. The identity was confirmed by DNA testing, but the cause of death remains unclear.

The man, originally from Bolzano, was a manager in the hospitality sector and had moved to the Spanish island in April 2025 for a job at a hotel. The alarm was raised last August by friends and family after they had been unable to contact him for too long.

All searches conducted immediately after his disappearance had yielded nothing; only last September was his motorcycle found near the sea in Cala Llonga, while in mid-February remains of a human were located on the seabed. Authorities have not explained the cause of death, and no hypothesis is being ruled out.
