Made up my mind to make my best guitar fit better, I’m paring down the neck of my Martin 00-15M at last, after having a been sfuck about it for eight or nine years .
.
i’ve removed the nut and taken the width off of the frets so far.
.
Next I want to think about how to remove a bunch of wood without offending my poor old hands, I need a grinder or something.

I was on YouTube for some random reason today and this video was up front. I don't know anything about these guys, but this video of of abusing and finally cutting open a midrange Martin was enjoyable and felt slightly deviant to watch. I guess I've never really done a deep dive into guitar construction, but because I'm headed toward making a decent (I hope) cigar box guitar I'm more interested than previously. I learned some cool things about guitar construction, as well as some corners manufacturers might cut (and that maybe some of them don't matter). If you like Things Cut In Half Porn, then the latter part of this video might be satisfying.

Again: No idea who these people are, and it's likely I won't watch more videos from them (my YouTube account is filled with subscriptions to channels I literally never watch because I just don't use YouTube much).

(It was fun to see 5-second nod to because I own a couple; I am not an evangelist for them, but I have had a lot of fun with mine).

Today I learned how to sidechain effects for a single drum within the Redrum kit inside Reason 12.

Simple, can't believe I waited so long to check it out.

This software really brings out my inner child, who apparently is very much like Gene Belcher...

Contender for Worst In The World. It actually sounds ok and a bit like a resonator, being made partly from a galvanized tub. I was trying to make a minimal cigar box guitar (CBG) so I could see how everything works. It took about 3 hours. There is no fretboard and the action is about an inch (250mm; It can be played with a slide, which is fun). The tailpiece is... Not optimal. The scale length is whatever. The zero fret is held on with a rubber band.

The reason I think it is a contender for Worst Guitar is that it has lots of sharp, exposed bits of sheet metal, especially in the back. It really will cut you if you aren't careful. Maybe I should have named it Tetanus.

If I get around to making a serious-attemptt CBG, of course I will post it here as a shameless attention bid.
