L'Unità: Accoltellata e sequestrata sull’autobus: si è suicidato in ospedale l’aggressore, ha utilizzato le lenzuola
È morto, suicida in ospedale, Antonio Meglio, l’uomo che la settimana scorsa aveva aggredito a coltellate una donna, una sconosciuta, su un pullman a Napoli. Attimi di tensione, la 32enne sequestrata sull’autobus, le trattative, il linciaggio sfiorato dall’uomo che, in seguito sarebbe emerso, era stato in cura per i suoi problemi psichici. E per quelli si trovava piantonato all’Ospedale San Giovanni Bosco, dopo l’arresto.
L’aggressione si era verificata nella serata di giovedì 5 marzo in via Simone Martini, al quartiere Vomero. La vittima viaggiava su un pullman della linea C32, era stata ferita al volto e alle braccia, era stata trasportata cosciente all’Ospedale Cardarelli. L’uomo invece era un 39enne di Pianura, già in cura per problemi psichiatrici, non conosceva la vittima. Il sequestro era durato circa 15 minuti, attimi di panico tra i passeggeri e tra i passanti.
Sui social network le immagini del fermo, delle trattative con i negoziatori per lasciare libera la donna, della gente fuori dall’autobus ferma a guardare e a registrare video alla scena. Per poco l’uomo non ha rischiato il linciaggio quando è stato bloccato e accompagnato a una pattuglia. Aveva addosso un’altra lama, secondo quanto comunicato dai Carabinieri.
Decisivo il contributo dell’autista dell’autobus, che ha subito fermato il mezzo e cercato di calmare facendo scendere i passeggeri e allertando le forze dell’ordine. La 32enne aggredita, avvocata penalista, aveva riportato ferite al volto e alle braccia. Era stata ricoverata all’ospedale Cardarelli. Singolare la scena dell’uscita dal pullman dell’uomo che, accompagnato militari, urlava: “Avvertite Nicola Gratteri”, il Procuratore Capo di Napoli.
L’uomo era piantonato in ospedale, dove si trovava nel reparto di psichiatria. Sarebbe riuscito nel suo intento dopo una serie di tentativi andati a vuoto, già in caserma subito dopo l’arresto e in seguito nel carcere di Poggioreale. Avrebbe utilizzato un lenzuolo. Il gip aveva convalidato il fermo ed emesso una misura di custodia cautelare in carcere per sequestro di persona e lesioni gravi.

He almost risked a lynching when he was stopped and escorted by police. He was carrying another knife, according to the Carabinieri.
Decisive was the contribution of the bus driver, who immediately stopped the vehicle and attempted to calm the situation by having passengers exit and alerting the authorities. The 32-year-old victim, a criminal defense lawyer, suffered injuries to her face and arms. She was admitted to the Cardarelli Hospital. Singular was the scene of the man exiting the bus, accompanied by military personnel, shouting: “Warn Nicola Gratteri,” the Chief Prosecutor of Naples.
The man was under guard in the hospital, where he was located in the psychiatric ward. He succeeded in his attempt after a series of unsuccessful attempts, immediately after his arrest in the police station and later in the Poggioreale prison. He used a blanket. The judge for preliminary hearings validated the arrest and issued a preventative detention order for kidnapping and aggravated assault.
