Interview with Wies: Music inspiration

So, as many of you know, I am working on my one and only masterpiece music album. Since a group of people is becoming bigger and asking for more information about this music album, I will share a post here about the creating and making of it. I will update this post when new information comes up, so keep an eye on it! Besides that, I would like to thank you for your support so far!! I really appreciate every moment of interest and interacting with you all!! Let's dive into some questions that were asked multiple times. Looking forward to hear some more!

How did you first find your way into making music?
A rich environment with musical influences! A large and diverse music collection at home meant early exposure to all kinds of music styles from around the world. The primary school director provided music lessons. Instruction began with the recorder, a woodwind instrument. Music lessons continued during secondary school with guitar lessons in leisure time. Over time, all of this naturally grew into writing original music.

Aside from music, what hobbies or activities do you enjoy?
Cycling :)

What’s something you’re surprisingly good at that has nothing to do with music?
Writing is something that keeps going on and on and on.

If you could play or create with any artist, who would it be and why?
Ooofff, that is a difficult question - There are so many talented artists!
It would be a fun music-project to work with Jamie Lidell. In my opinion he is a master in beatboxing, mixing and putting his soul into music. To learn some tips and tricks from him would be amazing.
Guitar related: Lindsey Buckingham & Andy McKee.

What musical instrument do you love the most, and what makes it irreplaceable for you?
Hmmm…. All of them - Each instrument has its own personality.

What daily or weekly habits do you have in place to keep you creating?
A daily habit tracker, a kind of a planner with checkboxes sorted by day per month. No pressure to work on a specific thing. Find one to do that fits that day, and from that point to build up towards checking off more boxes. Sometimes it works to do a bit of everything in one day.

What keeps you motivated to continue making music?
The possibility of inspiring someone, even unknowingly: To not knowing who will be inspired.

What song would you choose as the soundtrack of your life?
Hmmm… It’s a constantly changing playlist depending on the moment.

What’s your favorite feature on Inkwell.social, and how has it helped you in your musical journey?
Combining writing and music together into relevant topics about music is very helpful to discover more about the music field.

What’s something exciting you’re working on or looking forward to?
A small performance concert is to be announced soon. And of course working on the album is very exciting. Every time a new piece of the puzzle is found and so it all comes together.
