Tra le storie d’amore più intense della vita di Enrica Bonaccorti, scomparsa oggi 12 marzo a 76 anni, c’è stata quella con Carlo di Borbone, che lei chiamava Charles. Un incontro che la conduttrice e autrice raccontava spesso come un vero colpo di fulmine. “Lo vidi entrare in un locale, dopo quattro passi ero già innamorata. Pensai: chi è quello lì? Lo voglio, è mio”. Fu lui a invitarla a ballare e da quella sera iniziò una relazione travolgente. Lei aveva 42 anni, lui 29. “In qualche modo ho anticipato i tempi”, avrebbe ricordato con ironia. Il problema non era tanto la differenza d’età o il fatto che lei avesse una figlia, quanto il suo essere divorziata e soprattutto la visibilità del suo lavoro: la famiglia di lui temeva che la relazione trascinasse “Sua Altezza” sui giornali.
“Un film dai colori pastello”
La storia, come raccontava la stessa Bonaccorti, era iniziata quasi “con il foglio di via in mano”: lui le disse subito che non avrebbe potuto sposarla. “Gli feci una risata in faccia: vabbè, che sarà mai“. Per amore di Charles arrivò persino a rallentare il lavoro in televisione. Dopo anni di dirette quotidiane sentiva il bisogno di fermarsi e, nonostante gli avvertimenti di Maurizio Costanzo (“sei pazza, poi rientrare è difficile”) decise comunque di staccare. Col tempo avrebbe riconosciuto quella scelta come un errore di superficialità, anche se quei tre anni li ricordava come un periodo sospeso, “un film dai colori pastello”.
La favola non ebbe un vero lieto fine, ma quel legame non scomparve mai del tutto dalla sua memoria. Anche nelle ultime interviste, quando parlava della sua vita e della malattia, il nome di Charles riaffiorava spesso. Diceva di conservare ancora un desiderio: ricevere una sua telefonata. “Mi colpirebbe molto, mi squasserebbe. Forse non lo sa che sto male, è spesso all’estero”. Chissà se quella chiamata è mai arrivata.

Among Enrica Bonaccorti’s most intense love stories, which she passed away on March 12th at the age of 76, was the one with Carlo of Bourbon, whom she called Charles. An encounter that the presenter and author often described as a true bolt from the blue. “I saw him enter a venue, and after four steps I was already in love. I thought: who is that man? I want him, he’s mine.” He was the one who invited her to dance, and from that evening a passionate relationship began. She was 42, he was 29. “In some way, I anticipated the timing,” she would remember with irony. The problem wasn’t so much the age difference or the fact that she had a daughter, but his being divorced and, above all, the visibility of his work: his family feared that the relationship would drag “His Highness” into the newspapers.
“A pastel-colored film”
The story, as the Bonaccorti herself recounted, had begun almost “with the exit ticket in hand”: he told her immediately that he couldn’t marry her. “I laughed in his face: well, what does it matter?” For Charles’s sake, he even slowed down his television work. After years of daily broadcasts, she felt the need to stop, and despite Maurizio Costanzo’s warnings (“you’re crazy, it’s difficult to come back”) she nevertheless decided to disconnect. Over time, she would recognize that choice as a mistake of superficiality, even if those three years she remembered as a suspended period, “a pastel-colored film.”
The fairytale didn’t have a true happy ending, but that bond never completely disappeared from her memory. Even in her last interviews, when she spoke of her life and her illness, the name of Charles often resurfaced. She said she still harbored a wish: to receive a phone call from him. “It would really affect me, it would shatter me. Perhaps he doesn't know that I'm suffering, he’s often abroad.” Who knows if that call ever arrived.

Uno striscione con la scritta "Fuori Calenda dall'Università" esposto per qualche minuto, a disturbare un incontro all'università di Ca' Foscari a Venezia, poi un video che ritrae un contestatore fare il gesto della P38 e offese sui social. Lo rivela oggi l'associazione studentesca "Futura", che giovedì scorso aveva organizzato un incontro con il leader di Azione. La contestazione è stata rivendicata sui social dal "Collettivo Sumud", che già si era reso protagonista in ottobre dell'interruzione di un incontro con l'ex parlamentare Pd Emanuele Fiano. In un video su Instagram del collettivo si vede anche un contestatore fare il gesto della P38 verso il banco dove era seduto Calenda, e un altro pronunciare lo slogan: "Guerra alla guerra. Futura è guerra. Guerra a Futura". "Non ne farei una questione. Erano due ragazzi (di numero) che hanno sbagliato il cartellone, non gli funzionava il megafono, blateravano cose incomprensibili e quando li ho invitati a esprimersi in lingua italiana al microfono si sono dileguati. So ragazzi". Cosi', su X, il leader di Azione, Carlo Calenda, archivia la contestazione nei suoi confronti.

This was revealed today by the student association “Futura,” which had organized a meeting with the leader of Action on Thursday.
