Il Tempo: Ultrà con il passamontagna manomette il monitor Var: arbitro incredulo, caos in Germania
Clamoroso sabotaggio del Var in Germania: durante la partita tra Preussen Muenster e Hertha Berlino, nella seconda divisione della Bundesliga, un ultrà della squadra di casa ha staccato la spina al monitor del Var, impedendo la revisione di un episodio controverso. Dopo l'atterramento di un giocatore ospite in area di rigore, il direttore di gara Felix Bickel è stato richiamato a bordo campo dall'assistente al Var per valutare un possibile penalty. L'arbitro si è però trovato di fronte a uno schermo nero per il sabotaggio di un tifoso con un passamontagna verde che ha invaso il campo e ha manomesso l'apparecchiatura. Contemporaneamente nella curva dei tifosi della squadra neroverde della Vestfalia è stato esposto uno striscione con la scritta "Staccate la spina al Var".
Dopo diversi minuti la decisione finale è stata affidata alla sua assistente nella sala Var di Colonia, Katrin Rafalski, che ha assegnato il rigore dopo aver rivisto le immagini. Il tifoso non è ancora stato identificato ma il club tedesco si è scusato e ha promesso un'inchiesta sull'episodio e nuove misure per impedire simili sabotaggi in futuro. L'Hertha Berlino ha poi vinto la partita 2-1 con un gol nel finale dopo il momentaneo pareggio del Preussen Muenster.

A shocking VAR sabotage in Germany: During the match between Preussen Munster and Hertha Berlin, in the second division of the Bundesliga, a home team ultras cut the power cord to the VAR monitor, preventing a review of a controversial incident. After a visiting player was grounded in the penalty area, referee Felix Bickel was called back onto the field by the VAR assistant to assess a possible penalty. However, the referee found himself facing a black screen due to the sabotage of a fan in a green mask who invaded the field and tampered with the equipment. Simultaneously in the green-and-black fan section of Vestfalia, a banner reading “Cut the VAR cable” was displayed.
After several minutes, the final decision was entrusted to his assistant in the VAR room in Cologne, Katrin Rafalski, who awarded the penalty after reviewing the footage. The fan has not yet been identified, but the German club apologized and promised an investigation into the incident and new measures to prevent similar sabotage in the future. Hertha Berlin then won the match 2-1 with a last-minute goal after the Preussen Munster’s temporary lead.
