Alla religione del pallone si aggiunge un nuovo comandamento: non invidiare la vittoria degli altri. Ma non è facile mentre scorrono le immagini di festa degli azzurri che hanno battuto gli Usa al World Baseball Classic e l’Inghilterra nel Sei Nazioni di rugby. Il nostro è un movimento in crescita nel tennis, nell’atletica, nella pallavolo, nel nuoto. E veniamo dal record di medaglie olimpiche e paralimpiche. Nel frattempo l’Atalanta, ultima italiana in Champions, è ruzzolata giù dall’olimpo. L’accesso ai Mondiali negli Usa potrebbe non bastare come salvagente
Blue baseball realizes the American dream. And soccer is increasingly fading into the shadows.
To the religion of the ball, a new commandment has been added: do not envy the victory of others. But it’s not easy while the images of the Azzurri (Italy) celebrating their victories over the USA at the World Baseball Classic and England in the Six Nations of rugby scroll by. Our movement is growing in tennis, athletics, volleyball, and swimming. And we come from a record of Olympic and Paralympic medals. Meanwhile, Atalanta, the last Italian team in the Champions League, is crashing down from the top. Access to the World Championships in the USA may not be enough as a life raft.
