According to those who debate it, today might be, though it probably isn’t, the birthday in Celbridge, County of brewery founder Arthur Guinness (March 12, 1724-January 23, 1803). Others claim his birth occurred in September or January , but no matter, it is far less disputed that he started the in 1759 and signed a 9000 year lease in , and had 21 kids of whom less than half made it to adulthood.

review of Howdy Porter (Vanilla Bean) by from

Ratings (1-5 scale):
Look: 4.75 Aroma 4.5 Flavor 4.5 Mouthfeel 4.75 Overall: 4.75

(One important note - this is a different beer than American Solera's regular Howdy Porter that is a coconut porter with a higher ABV)

I poured this from a can into a pint glass. Excellent chocolate aroma. Very smooth mouthfeel. Very dark with a tan head. This one reminded me some of Breckridge's Vanilla Porter, except this was maybe a little smoother.

Strong recommendation.

A new to me dry Irish stout!

Dullahan’s nitro

Fits the classic mold, roasty malts, coffee, a hint of hops and chocolate. I messed up the pour - the next can will go harder to stir up the nitro!

Another birthday to celebrate, and a free beer at !

Coffee Bender Brown Ale - Big coffee on this tall brown, a pleasant malt and bitter finish

Paired with some simply AMaZInG food, the molé pork bowl and Darkness cake for dessert made for a lovely evening

56F, back to Spring! Drink in the sunlight while drinking in a fabulous

BA Straight Jacket barleywine

Rich with caramel, brown sugar, raisins, and a boozy finish. Catch that ruby glow!

I don’t mean to cause no troubles with the English accent but, any way I see it, Lager should be pronounced like Laker —just like the eh! in IPA …but! not like the one in India.

Yes. This is! absolute nonsense but,
I’m sticking to it.
