Roma, 10 mar. (Adnkronos/Labitalia) - L'intelligenza artificiale sta cambiando il modo di studiare e di apprendere e le università sono chiamate ad accompagnare questa trasformazione, guidando studenti e docenti verso un utilizzo consapevole e responsabile delle nuove tecnologie. È questo il quadro tracciato da Paolo Boccardelli, rettore dell'università Luiss Guido Carli, intervenendo all'incontro promosso dalla Luiss insieme a Google dal titolo “Reimagining the Learning Experience at Luiss”, dedicato all'evoluzione dei modelli formativi e all'integrazione dell'intelligenza artificiale nei processi accademici. “Oggi gli studenti utilizzano ampiamente l'intelligenza artificiale, quasi il 70% lo fa quotidianamente, un terzo per sintetizzare documenti, un quarto per fare elaborati", ha spiegato Boccardelli.
“La Luiss ha deciso di investire in maniera strategica e deliberata su questa nuova tecnologia, ma per governarne i rischi e massimizzarne le opportunità. L'intesa con Google serve proprio a questo: portare la Luiss nel futuro, ovvero aiutare i nostri studenti, docenti e staff a utilizzare l'intelligenza artificiale non come un sostituto, ma come un grande supporto per avere risultati migliori nelle proprie attività”, ha aggiunto ancora.
Sul contenuto dell'accordo, firmato presso il campus Luiss, il rettore ha aggiunto: “Condividono con noi le loro tecnologie e ci aiutano a formare docenti, staff e studenti nell'utilizzo efficace, responsabile e soprattutto massimizzandone i risultati dell'intelligenza artificiale”, ha concluso.

This is the picture drawn by Paolo Boccardelli, Rector of the Luiss Guido Carli University, speaking at the meeting promoted by Luiss together with Google entitled “Reimagining the Learning Experience at Luiss”, dedicated to the evolution of educational models and the integration of artificial intelligence into academic processes. “Today students widely use artificial intelligence, almost 70% do so daily, a third to synthesize documents, a fourth to complete assignments," explained Boccardelli.
“Luiss has decided to strategically and deliberately invest in this new technology, but to govern its risks and maximize its opportunities. The agreement with Google serves precisely for this: to bring Luiss into the future, namely to help our students, faculty and staff use artificial intelligence not as a substitute, but as a great support for achieving better results in their activities,” he added.
On the content of the agreement, signed at the Luiss campus, the Rector added: “They share their technologies with us and help us train teachers, staff and students in the effective, responsible use of artificial intelligence, and above all maximizing its results,” he concluded.

Il Tempo: Università, intesa tra Luiss e Google per un'IA a supporto dell'ateneo
L'intelligenza artificiale al servizio della formazione universitaria. È l'obiettivo dell'intesa presentata oggi alla Luiss di Roma tra l'ateneo e Google all'evento “Reimagine the Learning Experience at Luiss”. Il colosso dell'informatica globale nell'università capitolina per presentare una collaborazione fondata sul rapporto virtuoso uomo-IA in quattro ambiti: insegnamento, apprendimento, ricerca e amministrazione universitaria. Tre campi dove Google promette di migliorare l'efficienza degli atenei e l'esperienza educativa in un'ottica di sinergia con l'IA.
“Le nostre esperienze ci dicono che l'IA insieme allo studio sono potenti alleati se governati in modo efficace” spiega il Rettore della Luiss Paolo Boccardelli. “Dalle nostre analisi quando i docenti fanno supervisione attenta sull'IA e poi esaminano gli studenti in maniera tradizionale l'apprendimento degli studenti è più efficace. L'IA è un grande supporto se usata in maniera efficace. Chiaramente se viene usata come sostituto della mente umana può essere dannosa”.
A rappresentare Google nel campus romano c'è Colin Marson, Director EMEA & Asia Pacific, Google for Education: “Vediamo questa come una collaborazione di lungo periodo in cui Google darà supporto con la tecnologia e con sviluppo professionale, formazione e certificazione in collaborazione con l'Università Luiss”.
La cornice operativa dell'intesa è stata definita dal Prorettore alla Didattica Luiss, Enzo Peruffo, che ha spiegato: “L'obiettivo di questa intesa è quello di trovare un accordo con Google per mettere a disposizione della comunità accademica uno strumento capace di affiancare studenti e docenti nello sviluppo di creatività, pensiero critico e competenze necessarie per governare le sfide poste dalla transizione digitale e dai grandi trend che stanno rivoluzionando il mondo del lavoro”. Peruffo ha poi aggiunto: “Nell'era dell'intelligenza artificiale, Luiss rafforza al tempo stesso l'attenzione alle humanities: la tecnologia è un abilitatore, ma serve soprattutto a potenziare la qualità della formazione umanistica, ampliando capacità di interpretazione, argomentazione e giudizio”.

Representing Google on the Roman campus is Colin Marson, Director EMEA & Asia Pacific, Google for Education: “We see this as a long-term collaboration in which Google will provide support with technology and professional development, training, and certification in collaboration with the University of Luiss.”
The operational framework of the agreement was defined by Luiss Pro-Rector for Teaching, Enzo Peruffo, who explained: “The objective of this agreement is to find an agreement with Google to make available to the academic community a tool capable of supporting students and professors in the development of creativity, critical thinking and skills necessary to manage the challenges posed by the digital transition and the major trends that are revolutionizing the world of work.” Peruffo then added: “In the age of artificial intelligence, Luiss is also strengthening its attention to the humanities: technology is an enabler, but it is above all intended to enhance the quality of humanistic education, expanding interpretation, argumentation and judgment skills.”
