Il Fondo Sovrano più grande al mondo ha preso la decisione di disinvestire dal conglomerato francese Bolloré. Questa scelta arriva dopo anni di accuse relative a violazioni dei diritti umani, violenza sessuale e abusi dei diritti dei lavoratori nelle piantagioni in Africa e nel Sud-est asiatico.
Raccomandazioni dell’Etics Council
La decisione è stata suggellata dopo una raccomandazione dell’ethics council del Governo Norvegese, nel quale il fondo pensione da 2.2 trilioni di dollari ha suggerito di disinvestire da aziende affiliate a Bolloré. Questa raccomandazione è stata motivata dalla documentazione che evidenziava condizioni di lavoro inadeguate, violenza di genere e molestie nelle piantagioni di palma da olio in Camerun. Le accuse si riferivano principalmente al Gruppo Socfin, una holding con sede in Lussemburgo in cui Bolloré detiene una quota significativa.

The world’s largest sovereign fund has decided to divest from the French conglomerate Bolloré. This decision comes after years of accusations relating to human rights violations, sexual violence, and labor rights abuses in plantations in Africa and Southeast Asia.
Recommendations of the Ethics Council
The decision was sealed following a recommendation from the Government of Norway’s ethics council, in which the $2.2 trillion pension fund suggested disinvestment from companies affiliated with Bolloré. This recommendation was based on documentation highlighting inadequate working conditions, gender-based violence, and harassment in palm oil plantations in Cameroon. The allegations primarily concerned the Socfin Group, a Luxembourg-based holding company in which Bolloré holds a significant stake.
The pension fund had engaged in a dialogue with Bolloré for two years before proceeding with the disinvestment.

Il Tempo: Acea si aggiudica gara in Congo, un importante progetto idrico nell'ambito del Piano Mattei
ACEA vince la gara per il progetto SAEP Djoué volto a potenziare l'infrastruttura idrica della capitale congolese Brazzaville, a fronte della crescente domanda di acqua nelle aree urbane della città. L'aggiudicazione da parte della United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), va all'Associazione Temporanea di Imprese guidata da Acea Infrastructure.
"L'aggiudicazione del progetto SAEP Djoué a Brazzaville raggiunge un traguardo importante per la nostra azienda: sancisce l'approdo di ACEA nel continente africano – ha dichiarato Fabrizio Palermo, amministratore delegato di ACEA - Siamo orgogliosi di essere parte di questo progetto, reso possibile dalla sinergia con le istituzioni nazionali e internazionali. Una sfida e un impegno che consolidano la nostra leadership internazionale in ambito idrico e dimostrano la capacità del know-how italiano di esportare un modello industriale efficace ed efficiente all'insegna dello sviluppo sostenibile."
L'iniziativa – volta a raggiungere oltre un milione di cittadini con l'acqua potabile - nasce nell'ambito del programma del Ministero dell'Ambiente e della Sicurezza Energetica (MASE), sviluppato con il United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) e denominato PISTA (Piattaforma per gli Investimenti e l'Assistenza tecnica), per supportare i Paesi target di cooperazione ambientale ed energetica dell'Italia mediante assistenza ingegneristica avanzata. L'intervento si inserisce nel quadro delle iniziative promosse dal Piano Mattei per l'Africa ed è coerente con gli indirizzi strategici coordinati dalla Struttura di Missione della Cabina di Regia del Piano Mattei presso la Presidenza del Consiglio dei Ministri.
Si tratta di un importante affidamento nell'ambito di tale programma a una compagine italiana, traducendo l'indirizzo strategico del Governo in un avanzamento operativo concreto. Per la realizzazione del progetto, Acea ha messo a sistema le proprie competenze tecniche, ingegneristiche ed economico-finanziarie, con particolare riferimento alla governance di progetto, alla sostenibilità e alla strategia di procurement.

ACEA wins the bid for the SAEP Djoué project, aimed at upgrading the water infrastructure of the Congolese capital, Brazzaville, in response to the growing demand for water in the city’s urban areas. The award from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) goes to the Temporary Association of Enterprises led by Acea Infrastructure.

The initiative – designed to reach over one million people with access to drinking water – stems from the program of the Ministry of Environment and Energy Security (MASE), developed with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and named PISTA (Platform for Investments and Technical Assistance), to support Italy’s target countries for environmental and energy cooperation through advanced engineering assistance. The intervention fits within the framework of initiatives promoted by the Mattei Plan for Africa and is consistent with the strategic orientations coordinated by the Mission Structure of the Control Room of the Mattei Plan at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.
It is an important entrustment within that program to an Italian consortium, translating the government’s strategic direction into concrete operational progress. For the implementation of the project, Acea has integrated its technical, engineering, and economic-financial skills, with particular reference to project governance, sustainability, and procurement strategy.
