Questa volta però non per questioni di campo, ma riguardanti il pubblico. Nel 12esimo game del primo set, avanti 40-15, Sinner prima di servire è andato diretto verso la prima fila di spettatori e si è rivolto a muso duro contro alcuni disturbatori, indicandoli con la mano. Nel secondo set un calo mentale quanto era avanti 5 a 3, ma anche la vittoria netta al tie-break che vale i quarti di finale contro Learner Tien.
