Roma, 13 mar. (Adnkronos) - "Il blocco dello Stretto di Hormuz ha portato a uno shock petrolifero senza precedenti. L'Agenzia Internazionale per l'Energia (Aie), di fronte allo shock storico più grave della storia recente, ha dovuto sbloccare 400 milioni di barili dalle riserve, confermando un punto cruciale: in questo mondo interconnesso, colpire le grandi vie di comunicazione e utilizzare i cosiddetti 'colli di bottiglia' (choke points) può portare al collasso dell'economia mondiale". Così Marco Minniti, presidente della Fondazione MedOr, intervenendo in videocollegamento a LetExpo 2026 - la manifestazione fieristica organizzata da Alis Service in collaborazione con Veronafiere - ha sottolineato come lo shock petrolifero causato dalla chiusura dello Stretto mette a rischio la tenuta delle economie occidentali. Il blocco, causato dalla strategia iraniana di "produrre il massimo caos possibile, colpendo Paesi come l'Arabia Saudita, gli Emirati Arabi e il Qatar, rappresenta un segnale chiaro: nel momento in cui si colpisce l'Iran, si avvia una fase di destabilizzazione mondiale", commenta Minniti.
Hormuz e lo shock energetico, dunque il problema degli approvvigionamenti e dello scambio di merci. In questo scenario, qual è il ruolo di due grandi colossi come Russia e Cina? Minniti osserva: "A loro è stata consegnata una grande opportunità. Con lo shock energetico la Russia, produttrice di petrolio e gas, ha messo in campo un'offerta all'Europa per riprendere i rapporti di collaborazione interrotti drammaticamente con l'invasione dell'Ucraina. E in questo contesto, la Russia assume un ruolo da protagonista. La Cina - aggiunge - vede una sfida cruciale: più c'è disordine nel mondo e più viene meno il diritto internazionale, più sarà facile per loro riprendersi Taiwan, che resta l'obiettivo strategico fondamentale", le sue parole.

Hormuz and the energy shock, therefore, the problem of supplies and trade. In this scenario, what is the role of two major giants like Russia and China? Minniti observes: “They have been given a great opportunity. With the energy shock, Russia, producer of oil and gas, has put an offer to Europe to resume dramatically interrupted collaboration relations with the invasion of Ukraine. And in this context, Russia takes a leading role. China – he adds – sees a crucial challenge: the more disorder there is in the world, the less the rule of international law is respected, the easier it will be for them to regain Taiwan, which remains the fundamental strategic objective,” he said.
