Armand Duplantis oltre ogni limite. Ancora lui, sempre lui. Altro record del mondo nel salto con l’asta. Lo svedese vola a 6.31 nella quinta edizione del Mondo Classic di Uppsala (World Indoor Tour Silver), a casa sua, e sigla il suo 15esimo record del mondo da lui stabilito. Oltre a conquistare agli scorsi Mondiali di Tokyo un’altra medaglia d’oro iridata, la terza della sua carriera, da abbinare ai due titoli olimpici e ai tre titoli iridati indoor. Stavolta lo ha fatto con soli quattro salti e nessun errore (5,65 – 5,90 – 6,08 – 6,31) aggiungendo un centimetro ai 6,30 del record centrato ai campionati del mondo di Tokyo. Come ormai fa sempre.
Nella progressione-record, Duplantis ha passato la misura di 6,00 che invece è stata superata dal secondo classificato, il primatista norvegese Sondre Guttormsen, salito pochi giorni fa a Rouen a 6,06. Tre errori alla quota di 6,00, invece, per il greco Emmanouil Karalis, fino a ieri world leader con 6,17. classificatosi settimo con 5,80. È la seconda volta che Duplantis centra il record mondiale in Svezia, la prima in un impianto al coperto, dopo il 6,28 dello scorso mese di giugno nella tappa svedese della Diamond League a Stoccolma.

Armand Duplantis exceeds all limits. Still him, always him. Another world record in the pole vault. The Swede flies to 6.31 in the fifth edition of the World Classic of Uppsala (World Indoor Tour Silver), at home, and sets his 15th world record, all of which he has established. In addition to winning another world gold medal in Tokyo, the third of his career, at the recent World Championships, to complement the two Olympic titles and the three indoor world titles, he did it with just four jumps and no errors (5.65 – 5.90 – 6.08 – 6.31), adding a centimeter to the 6.30 record set at the Tokyo World Championships. As he always does.
In the record progression, Duplantis surpassed the 6.00 mark, which was surpassed by the second-placed Norwegian record holder Sondre Guttormsen, who rose in Rouen a few days ago to 6.06. Three errors at the 6.00 height, however, for the Greek Emmanouil Karalis, who until yesterday was the world leader with 6.17, finishing seventh with 5.80. It is the second time that Duplantis has achieved the world record in Sweden, the first in an indoor venue, after the 6.28 last June in the Swedish leg of the Diamond League in Stockholm.

Il Tempo: Volvo ES90 lusso elettrico svedese
Benvenuti a bordo del lusso della tecnologia targati Volvo. Con la nuova ES90 la casa svedese rilancia la sfida in un mercato, quelle delle berline elettriche top, sempre più affollato. Ma definire questa vettura berlina è riduttivo, perché con quel look tra Suv e coupé allo stesso tempo non passa di certo inosservata nonostante fili via silenziosa come una star che non vuole esse riconosciuta tra la folla. Si tratta di fatto del design scandinavo alla sua massima espressione in grado di unire l'eleganza raffinata di una berlina (con un coefficiente aerodinamico di solo 0,25 il migliore di sempre per la casa) con l'adattabilità di una fastback e lo spazio di un Suv.
Prima elettrica della casa, costruita sulla piattaforma SPA2, con la nuova tecnologia a 800 volt che consente un'autonomia fino a 700 chilometri e tempi di ricarica particolarmente contenuti: 275 km in soli dieci minuti con ricarica ultrafast.
Un discorso a parte va fatto per il software che equipaggia questa vettura: il top su un'automobile in grado di fare calcoli velocissimi e mettere la vettura al servizio del guidatore consentendo standard di sicurezza mai visti prima. Un sistema Safe Space per proteggere le persone dentro e fuori dall'auto che dispone anche dell'Interior Sensing in grado di rilevare minimi movimenti all'interno della vettura: il respiro di un bambino o di un animale, proprio per evitare che qualcuno possa «dimenticare» figli o animali in auto. Pazzesco poi l'impianto acustico.
Tre le versioni disponibili. La «base» o meglio la versione Single Motor Extended Range da 333 CV in allestimento Core. Le versioni Plus e Ultra con lo stesso motore e poi le varianti Twin Motor da 449 CV, disponibili solo in allestimento Ultra, i prezzi partono. Infine c'è la top di gamma Twin Motor Performance da 680 CV. Tutte già disponibili nei concessionari Volvo con prezzi a partire da 86mila euro.

A separate discussion must be made about the software that equips this vehicle: top-of-the-line on a car capable of making extremely fast calculations and putting the vehicle at the service of the driver, allowing for safety standards never seen before. A Safe Space system to protect people inside and outside the car, which also has Interior Sensing capable of detecting minimal movements inside the vehicle: the breath of a child or animal, precisely to prevent someone from “forgetting” children or animals in the car. Then there’s the sound system, which is fantastic.
There are three versions available. The “base” or rather the Single Motor Extended Range version with 333 hp in Core trim. The Plus and Ultra versions with the same engine and then the Twin Motor variants with 449 hp, available only in Ultra trim, prices start. Finally, there’s the top-of-the-range Twin Motor Performance version with 680 hp. All already available at Volvo dealerships starting from €86,000.
