AI systems now bypass human judgment to make instant decisions - but when AI misreads situations, it creates friction. From credit card fraud blocks to B2B lead scoring, these automated decisions save money but risk lost revenue and trust when models get it wrong. martech.org/when-ai-decisions-

Went down a rabbithole of looking at what MLPerf Storage Training benchmarks do; turns out they're not very meaningful IMO. Alarming how many practitioners (mostly storage vendors) run them and don't understand what the results do/don't represent.

"“However, the percentage of students who use AI to save time decreased from 51% in 2025 to 45% in 2026. The reason for this is unclear, though one suggestion is that students are becoming more sceptical of AI’s benefits as they become more familiar with it.” (Stephenson and Armstrong, 2026, p. 17)

Oh good. TurboTax is now using a chatbot as part of their filing process, and letting it determine if your filing is accurate.

... I expect a lot more audits in the near future. *sigh*

🔙 🚪 Researchers found a new backdoor called , likely generated with , used in an Interlock ransomware attack to steal data.

Slopoly is a simple client that beacons to a C2 server, runs commands, and keeps persistence.

X-Force links the attack to a financially motivated group known as Hive0163 and says AI tools are speeding custom malware development.

It's so amazing and baffling at the same time, that has such grounded take on than the brigades of twitter users, pushing people to not learn anything anymore. Yes, we all need to use computers for our work, but it also is equally important to know how things work when you open that lid and see the actual barebones. There is no alternate to achieving something with a grit.

AI is transforming the marketing tech landscape, but not in the way many expected. Rather than collapsing the stack, AI is repricing it by making coordination layers easier to replicate while structural systems that absorb liability retain their value. For marketing operations leaders, the key is distinguishing between convenient surface tools and systems that manage real operational risk. martech.org/ai-is-repricing-th

slAIce of lAIfe;
a play in three acts

Act 1: Protagonist, wistful and nostalgic, remembers a cute youth they saw years ago. They themselves were but a youth, and knew not how to engage.

Act 2: Forsooth! All of their lives have been recorded and are easily searchable by ❗️

Act 3: After a query, the A.I. helps them reconnect on socials. The cutie settled down with a banker who saw them as nothing more than a token of success. They both cheat regularly, and have aged. Protagonist realizes they wanted what could have been, so the cutie is no longer desirable.

I expect that training with NVFP4 will be a hot topic at GTC next week. NVIDIA reports a 1.59x speedup over BF16 (developer.nvidia.com/blog/usin), but context: this speedup was measured on a tiny (8B), dense transformer with minimal high-latency comms in the loop. It is the best-case scenario.

1.59x will go down for modern frontier models which are bigger (less GEMM-dominant) and sparser (MOE or hybrid state-space models).

4-bit precision seems good for inferencing, less so for training.

Azure integrations fail when they hit provisioning constraints.

The Agentic SecOps Workspace (ASW) completes Azure Activity Log integration in minutes, handling technical obstacles autonomously.

The agent resolves configuration challenges, generates least-privilege policies correctly, and stores connection strings securely without requiring manual intervention at each step.

This is autonomous problem-solving, not scripted automation. The agent adapts to Azure-specific requirements and configuration challenges that would normally require troubleshooting and retry cycles.

The result: cloud integrations that adapt and self-correct instead of failing and requiring manual intervention.
