Il Tempo: Ponte Messina, Tardino (Adsp Sicilia occidentale): "Progetto strategico, parte Rete Ten-T"
Palermo, 10 mar. (Adnkronos) - "Quando si discute del Ponte sullo Stretto di Messina il confronto pubblico finisce spesso per concentrarsi su argomentazioni emotive o su posizioni legate a interessi locali. Esiste, però, una prospettiva diversa, che troppo frequentemente viene trascurata: quella europea. Il Ponte, infatti, non rappresenta soltanto una grande infrastruttura nazionale, ma costituisce anche una componente strutturale della Rete trans-europea dei trasporti (Ten-T), un progetto strategico volto a rafforzare i collegamenti tra le regioni europee e a renderle più competitive, sostenibili e integrate". A dirlo è stata Annalisa Tardino, commissario straordinario dell'Autorità di sistema portuale del mare di Sicilia occidentale, intervenendo oggi a 'LetExpo', appuntamento nazionale e internazionale di riferimento per i trasporti con attenzione alle attuali dinamiche geopolitiche e alla sostenibilità ambientale, economica e sociale, organizzato da Alis Service, in collaborazione con Veronafiere.
"Le reti Ten-T costituiscono la vera ossatura dei collegamenti continentali - ha spiegato -: un sistema integrato composto da ferrovie, porti, strade, nodi logistici e aeroporti progettato per consentire la circolazione continua di merci e persone in tutta l'Unione, da nord a sud e da est a ovest. In questo contesto l'Italia, grazie alla sua posizione centrale nel Mediterraneo, riveste un ruolo strategico. Tuttavia, è nel Mezzogiorno che si gioca la partita decisiva: senza un collegamento stabile tra la Sicilia e la Penisola, l'intero progetto europeo rimane incompleto. Naturalmente, come per tutte le grandi opere infrastrutturali - ha sottolineato Tardino -, il valore del Ponte dipenderà dalla sua integrazione con il resto del sistema dei trasporti. Senza il potenziamento della rete ferroviaria e delle infrastrutture logistiche dell'Isola, il rischio sarebbe quello di avere un'opera isolata. Se, invece, verrà inserito in una strategia più ampia di sviluppo delle infrastrutture del Mezzogiorno, il Ponte potrà rappresentare un elemento di riequilibrio territoriale e di rafforzamento della competitività logistica del Paese".

Palermo, March 10 (Adnkronos) - “When discussing the Messina Strait Bridge, public debate often focuses on emotional arguments or positions linked to local interests. However, there exists a different perspective, which is too often neglected: the European one. The Bridge is not only a major national infrastructure, but also a structural component of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T), a strategic project aimed at strengthening connections between European regions and making them more competitive, sustainable, and integrated.” This was stated by Annalisa Tardino, Extraordinary Commissioner of the Port Authority of Western Sicily, speaking today at ‘LetExpo’, a national and international reference appointment for transport with attention to current geopolitical dynamics and environmental, economic and social sustainability, organized by Alis Service, in collaboration with Veronafiere.
“TEN-T networks constitute the true skeleton of continental connections – she explained –: an integrated system composed of railways, ports, roads, logistics hubs and airports designed to allow the continuous circulation of goods and people throughout the Union, from north to south and from east to west. In this context, Italy, thanks to its central position in the Mediterranean, plays a strategic role. However, it is in the South that the decisive game is played: without a stable connection between Sicily and the Peninsula, the entire European project remains incomplete. Naturally, as with all major infrastructure projects – Tardino emphasized – the value of the Bridge will depend on its integration with the rest of the transport system. Without the strengthening of the island’s railway network and logistics infrastructure, the risk would be to have a isolated work. If, however, it is integrated into a broader strategy for the development of the infrastructure of the South, the Bridge can represent an element of territorial balance and strengthening of the country's logistical competitiveness.”

Il Fatto Quotidiano: Guerra in Iran, Trump: “Meloni cerca sempre di aiutare”. Il Pd: “Il governo smentisca”
Una frase, secca: “Cerca sempre di aiutare”. Il soggetto? Giorgia Meloni. E chi l’ha pronunciata? Donald Trump in una breve intervista al Corriere della Sera. Ma è stata sufficiente per innescare la reazione delle opposizioni. Perché arriva in un contesto in cui il presidente degli Stati Uniti, esprimendo apprezzamento per la premier, ha lodato la disponibilità dell’Italia a contribuire alla gestione della crisi in Medio Oriente scatenata dalla guerra in Iran voluta dagli Usa e da Israele.
“Amo l’Italia, penso che Giorgia sia una grande leader”, ha detto Trump. Interpellato sul possibile ruolo italiano nel conflitto e sulla decisione di inviare assetti navali per la difesa di Cipro, il presidente ha aggiunto: “Giorgia Meloni cerca sempre di aiutare, è un’ottima leader ed è una mia amica”.
Questa la frase di fronte alla quale il Pd ha subito chiesto un chiarimento: “Nel contesto di una guerra illegale, che ha infiammato il Medio Oriente e scatenato il caos nel Mediterraneo, è un’affermazione grave e inquietante – ha detto il responsabile Esteri della segreteria dem, Peppe Provenzano – L’Italia deve lavorare per fermare una guerra contraria ai nostri principi e ai nostri interessi, non per ‘cercare di aiutare'”. Quindi la richiesta esplicita all’esecutivo: “Il Governo è in grado di smentire nella maniera più chiara queste dichiarazioni di Donald Trump? Gli italiani hanno diritto di sapere la verità”.

But it was enough to trigger the opposition’s reaction. It comes in a context where the President of the United States, expressing appreciation for the Prime Minister, praised Italy’s willingness to contribute to managing the crisis in the Middle East sparked by the war in Iran, instigated by the US and Israel.
“I love Italy, I think Giorgia is a great leader,” Trump said. Asked about the possible role of Italy in the conflict and on the decision to send naval assets to defend Cyprus, the President added: “Giorgia Meloni always tries to help, she is a great leader and she is a friend of mine.”
This was the sentence in front of which the Pd immediately asked for clarification: “In the context of an illegal war that has inflamed the Middle East and triggered chaos in the Mediterranean, it is a serious and disturbing statement – said the Foreign Affairs head of the Pd secretariat, Peppe Provenzano – Italy must work to stop a war contrary to our principles and our interests, not to ‘try to help.’” Therefore, the explicit request to the government: “Is the Government able to deny these statements by Donald Trump in the clearest possible way? Italians have the right to know the truth.”
